ConnectWise announced today it has joined forces with HTG Peer Groups for a fund drive aimed at raising $750,000 to help ConnectWise partners who have been hurt by Hurricane Harvey.

The company is calling upon vendors and others to donate cash, which the MSP toolset maker plans to match at a rate of 2 to 1, up to $250,000.

ConnectWise has 241 partners based in Houston, Texas, and the company has contacted all of them to gauge their situations.

“Many of them have uninsured employees who have nowhere to live, and at least 10 partners are looking at devastating effects to their livelihoods and their teams,” a website for the fundraiser said.

HTG Peer Groups is participating through its Hands That Give Emergency Response Fund.

“We’re combining our strengths with vendor partners, including HTG Hands that Give, to make sure everyone makes it through the initial and residual damage,” the ConnectWise webpage states. “Those that were lucky enough to avoid catastrophic damage are eager to help those in the area who were not as lucky.”

ConnectWise and HTG join CompTIA as among the channel organizations to announce substantial contributions to Hurricane Harvey relief.
